Professor Sokołowski specialized in Einstein’s theory of gravity and its relationship to other metric theories of gravity. His broad research interests spanned mathematical cosmology and the conceptual foundations of gravitational phenomena. He was an outstanding educator whose lectures shaped generations of students and the author of academic textbooks on physics and mathematics.
The funeral of Professor Leszek Sokołowski will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Prądnik Czerwony Cemetery, located at Powstańców Street 48 in Krakow. The ceremony will begin at 11:40 a.m. in the farewell hall.
